How to tie a EZ No Hackle Caddis Dryfly
Material list
Dry Fly hooks size 10 to 18 (these are 14 & 16s)
Dubbing, I use Bull Frawg Dubbing from flytyers dungeon
Deer Hair and 3/0 waxed Danville thread to match body
Instructions to tie the EZ Caddis dry fly
Tie thread on, make a thread base and dub the body
Rib body with spaced thread wraps. I match thread color to body
Cut a bunch of deerhair. Pinch the bunch and clean the under fur
Switch hands to even the tips and to place on the hook
Hold the bunch pinched with your non thread wrapping hand.
Do not let the bunch go, make 3-5 wraps to flare the deer hair tips
DO NOT let the bunch go (KEY!) rough trim head, push back and wrap thread
in front to secure the deer hair and whip finish
